Excel import uses the SheetJS browser library. CSV works directly in the browser.

Recommended columns: Category, Item Name, Recommendation, UK 14 Allergens, Custom Flags, Description, Category Recommendation. Separate multiple allergens/flags with commas or semicolons.

Category Connections

The seven Plan Event section slots are fixed: Starter, Main/Curries, Indian Bread, Rice, Dessert, Extras and Drinks. Admin can rename/reorder those sections in Plan Event and connect each section to multiple Menu Master categories here. Example: Starter → Hot Appetiser, Chips, Street Food Special, Tandoori.

Products created by Branch Managers remain available only to that branch and keep their permanent allergens/dietary flags for next time.
